On Saturday Live this morning, the poet Simon Armitage was talking about his poem Event Horizon. In 2007, I had the privilege to review an Antony Gormley exhibition also called Event Horizon at the Hayward Gallery – one of the most memorable exhibitions I have reviewed. Taxi drivers loved the Gormleyesque bodies on bridges and buildings. In these solitary times which feel like being on the edge of a black hole let’s share our good memories.

This V&A exhibition was not large but for me it was profound. It shone a light into the mind of Leonardo. I was nervous about writing this review but at the same time loved doing it.

The castaway series keeps rewarding me with good memories. The Griffiths Institute has put my feature on Richard Parkinson – its director- on its website. This solitary existence feels like being on the edge of a black hole so it’s lovely to be reminded of good times. Richard was a delight to interview -I love surprises and he gave me plenty!
