Trevor Cowlett was one of the first three people to receive the Oxford vaccine. Trevor is never heard complaining even though he only has one kidney and the other is on dialysis and has fought many battles in his long life. I wrote Trevor’s life story for the Oxford Castaway series and you can read it here. It is a moving story for anyone who feels low.
Trevor is the founder and director of Kennington United Choirs and Trevor and the choir were outstanding supporters of KOA of which I was chair for many years. I wrote the history of the choir as a big THANK YOU. There is more about him and lots of inspirational life stories in I LOVE YOU ALL. The reason for the title ? That is what Trevor says at the end of each performance. Let’s hope it won’t be long before the choir can meet again and he can wave his baton once more.
I’d like to thank all those involved in developing this vaccine who were determined that it should be NOT for PROFIT. At a time when the wealth of the richest 2% in the world has increased by hundreds of billions it is good to be reminded of other motives- like Trevor’s and the Oxford vaccine team.
