At a party in Montreal I was asked who I was about to interview. When I replied, ‘You
may not have heard of her. My next castaway is Annie Sloan’, I was proved
embarrassingly wrong. They not only knew about Annie saying ‘She’s the chalk paint
lady ’ but had visited the shops in Montreal which are supported by her brand.
What they didn’t know was that, as a young woman just out of art school she was a Queen of Punk before punk!
